    Abstract
Customer needs are in constant change and companies must continuously adopt innovative processes and products to serve them better. Market leaders innovate in both product and process through advancing current offerings, creating category innovations and revamping processes to improve, reach and penetrate new markets.

So how do we truly achieve customer satisfaction through innovation? Striving to put customers/consumers at the beginning, not the end, of every process, operation, and product innovation is the key to success.

By adopting a ‘customer-centric’ approach to innovation, companies that can bring safer, higher-quality and better value products and services to market will achieve the ultimate goal of enhancing customer satisfaction. In addition, they can gain and sustain leadership positions because of their market understanding and responsiveness.

Kimberly-Clark, the makers of well-known global brands such as HUGGIES®, KOTEX®, KLEENEX®, SCOTT® and many more, are an indispensable part of life for people in more than 150 countries. By embracing this approach, 1.3 billion people every day - nearly a quarter of the world's population - trust K-C brands and the innovative solutions to give them the “Essentials for a Better Life”.

It’s not too difficult to understand the overall objective of managing a supply chain as to delivering RIGHT products at RIGHT time to the RIGHT people at a RIGHT price. Many of the players have also been trying to lower the total cost of the supply chain with innovative ideas and technologies. There are no doubts that much more can be done, and we’re doing the right thing. However, have we also thought seriously that we have considered some simple but direct measures to do it right with a much lower investment?

This presentation is trying to give some insight as how working with one of the key player, the supplier, help improving the efficiency of the supply chain.

    Abstract
China overcame the financial crisis with almost no negative impact for the economy. But already before the crisis arrived, Chinas position as the worlds sourcing platform, became more difficult.

Increasing wages, higher location costs, stronger yuan, rising energy prices etc. Moved many more Buyers to countries like Vietnam, India, Bangladesh etc. What about the "Supply Chain Infrastructure" in these countries?

The Chinese policy during the crisis had a very fast impact. Retail in China grew double digit and could smoothen the effects from dropping exports. After Chinese New Year in 2010, many companies in the South experienced a shortage of workers.

The Foxcon impact on higher wages and industry policies, the Honda and Toyota strikes, and the preparation in politics for the new "Five Years Plan" will change the picture gradually. Does it really impact Chinas position as the sourcing platform, and how will the economy react ?
